Eredene Capital PLC invests in logistics centres in NCR, Uttaranchal and Punjab | INRnews
London, UK, December 21, 2007 - Eredene Capital PLC (AIM: ERE), the AIM quoted Indian property developer, today announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Bandra Mauritius Limited (together “the Eredene Group”) has agreed to invest up to INR 854 million (£11 million) in a £26 million project to build and operate three multi-user logistics centres in a ‘hub and spoke’ model on 28 acres of land in Northern India.

Dehradun, India, August 22, 2007 - Emaar MGF, one of India’s leading premier real estate developers, today signed an agreement with the Government of Uttarakhand, for designing, constructing and operating/ managing a five star hotel and convention centre in Dehradun. The five star hotel property and the convention centre is part of an integrated facility comprising retail and entertainment space spread across 10 acres of land and has been planned with an investment of Rs 200 crores over 2 years.

Pantnagar, India, April 13, 2007 - Bajaj Auto Ltd has announced that on April 09, 2007, the Company has inaugurated its Greenfield Plant with a planned capacity of one million motorcycles per annum at Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Built on a total area of 65 acres with the balance 155 acres allocated to the vendor cluster, the Pantnagar facility would be the Company's fourth Plant & first Plant outside Maharashtra. The unit has a plant area of 40,000 sq mtr and will employ 600 line engineers who have been trained at Chakan for 3 months.

Sobha Developers awarded Uttaranchal contract worth Rs 15 crore | INRnews
Mumbai, January 18, 2007 - Sobha Developers Limited has announced that the company has received a Letter of Indent (LOI) from Gold Plus Glass Industry Ltd, for the design & execution work at Roorkee (Uttaranchal). The scope of work comprises of its design and execution of Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) and Structural Steel Works. This will be executed by Sobha's Glazing & Metal Division. The total value of the work is about Rs. 15 crore. Gold Plus Glass Industry ltd is a new corporate client added to Sobha's existing contractual client base.

Ashok Leyland to set up auto manufacturing unit in Pant Nagar, Uttaranchal | INRnews
Chennai, November 7, 2006 : Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland announced its plans to set up a vehicle manufacturing unit in Uttaranchal. An investment of over Rs 1,000 crores will create vehicle assembly and cab facility to produce 25,000 vehicles annually, which will be stepped to 40,000 vehicles eventually. About 200 acres of land has been identified in Pant Nagar for this purpose. The unit will create employment for 3,000 people.

Omaxe to set up township in Uttaranchal
Dehra Dun, October 17, 2006 : Delhi-based real estate developer Omaxe Ltd is to set up a township in Uttaranchal at a cost of Rs.500 crore. 2,200 residential flats are to come up on 46 acres of land of the Omaxe Riviera. The flats will range from 2-4 bedrooms. The township will have facilities such as a club, swimming pool, food-court, multiplex and mall.
