Now real estate and healthcare at Future Group stores | INRnews

Mumbai, India, January 22, 2008 - The Future Group, whose flagship company Pantaloon Retail operates over 1,000 stores nationwide, is looking to maximise the value of its locations through selling real estate and healthcare.

FH Residences - a joint venture between Home Solutions Retail (a Pantaloon Retail subsidiary) and Mr Sumit Dabriwala, a Kolkata-based developer - is looking to market its 2 & 3 bed-room "walk-in" apartments through Future Group stores such as Big Bazaar.  Home Solutions Retail will provide the brown and white goods required to furnish these apartments. FH Residences is also looking to advertise its apartments in Future Group malls.

Future Group is also reported to be close to finalising a JV with Hyderabad-based Global Hospitals to set up a chain of clinics to be located at Future Group malls and Big Bazaar stores. The 1,500 sq ft clinics will provide quick-service medical consultation for common ailments, have a pharmacy and offer diagnostic facilities.  The first clinics are to come up in Hyderabad before expanding elsewhere.
