Godrej Agrovet, Future Ventures form JV for rural retailing | INRnews
Godrej Aadhaar, the agri-services cum rural retail initiative, will continue to be a complete solution provider for the Indian farmer. While, the venture begun by offering agri solutions to the farmers, based on their feedback, it has over the last year diversified into offering a number of other product categories like – consumer durables, food and grocery, apparels, footwear etc thus catering to the complete requirement of the rural household – A one stop shop for Rural India. Going forward, Godrej Aadhaar will focus on creating a strong commodity and agri-produce supply chain and cater to the growing consumption demand in rural India.

· Future Ventures India Limited is engaged in promoting and participating in diverse business activities, primarily in consumption-led sectors in the country. · Future Ventures’ participation in Godrej Aadhaar will result in a stronger rural retailing business by combining Future Ventures’ retailing expertise with Godrej Agrovet’s vast experience in rural marketing. The joint venture will serve the needs of its stakeholders by:

* Providing Indian farmers quality essential services for crop advisory, soil and water testing, buy back of output, crop finance, agri-input supply, animal feeds, price and weather information and door-to-door delivery of products
* Adding to Aadhaar Retailing’s current portfolio of consumer products by offering rural consumers a wider range of durable and non –durable consumer goods that cater to the needs of the rural household at attractive prices
* Developing a robust commodities and agri-supply chain that serves as a dependable channel for the sale of farm produce.
