Arshhiya Tech to invest Rs 350cr in CFS & Logistics Park | INRnews

Mumbai, India, September 07, 2007 - Arshhiya Technologies International Ltd., an India based integrated supply chain services company with global presence (through it’s network of partners - BDP International and Genco), has announced the approval of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Infrastructure Division - Government of India for setting up a Container Freight Station (CFS) near JNPT Port for handling import and export cargo. The adjacent area will also include a Logistics Park. The cost of the proposed CFS and Logistics Park project will be approximately Rs. 350 crores.

The proposed area of the new CFS will be around 41 acres. In addition to the CFS, the Logistics Park will consist of non-bonded warehousing area, empty container storage and refurbishment yard. This will facilitate the export and import community, and shipping lines by providing one-stop-shop solutions in terms of, customs brokerage, sea and land transportation, storage and refurbishing marine containers.

“The setting up of a CFS at JNPT is a strategic move made by Arshhiya Technologies International. This is our first venture into the infrastructure assets sector and going forward we are looking at investing more in CFS and ICDs and other strategic assets to support the Supply Chain Sector,” said Mr. Ajay S Mittal, Managing DIrector, Arshhiya Technologies International Ltd.

The CFS and Logistic Park will offer customers the dual advantage of cost saving on transhipment activities and provide them the strategic advantage of being situated close to one of the largest ports in India.
