Union Cabinet approves transfer of Nagpur Airport to JV for upgradation to world class hub | INRnews

New Delhi, India, January 21, 2008 - The Union Cabinet has given its ‘in-principle’ approval for transfer of Dr. Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur to the Joint Venture Company comprising AAI and Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. For upgradation of the airport to a world class Multi Modal International Passenger and Cargo Hub (MIHAN).  The Union Cabinet also gave its approval to invest an amount of Rs. 4.90 crore by AAI in the equity of the Joint Venture Company.

Maharashtra government tables draft housing policy | INRnews

85 projects of Maharashtra received for JNNURM assistance | INRnews

New Delhi, November 30, 2006 : 85 projects including those of Nagpur have been received from Maharashtra for assistance under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, JNNURM. 19 projects have been approved under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for small and Medium Towns (UIDSSMT). The Minister of State for Urban Development Shri Ajay Maken gave this information in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
