Mumbai, India, June 06, 2007 - Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd has announced that Indiabulls Industrial Infrastructure Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company focused on development of large scale infrastructure projects, has received a Formal Approval from the Department of Commerce (SEZ Section), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, for development of a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Nashik District of the State of Maharashtra.
Pune, October 29, 2006 : In a welcome move, the Pune City Improvement Committee (CIC) has decided to allow high-rise buildings with a maximum height of 100 metres. The move will help ease the demand for residential and commercial real estate as developers build higher, and also keep price inflation under control.
Ahmedabad, September 22, 2006 : The Board of Approvals (BOA) under the stewardship of Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath on Thursday approved 14 new proposals to set up Special Economic Zones (SEZs). With this, the total number of SEZs approved by the Union government has gone up to 164.

Bharat Forge Ltd. (BFL), India’s largest manufacturer and exporter of automotive components today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to jointly develop a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Khed Taluka of Pune District.
Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has said that Maharashtra will have a new housing and urban development policy by end year aimed at addressing a number of issues in this sector. He was speaking at the Advantage Maharashtra conference organised by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers of India (CREDAI). Mr Deshmukh also indicated that the state is working to repeal the Urban Land Ceiling Act.
American auto giant General Motors is to locate its second plant in India in Maharashtra. The company is to sign an MOU with the Maharashtra Government soon. The plant is believed to be at the Talegaon Industrial Estate and MIDC has reserved a 300 acre site for GM. The location choice is based on the availability of skilled workforce in the Pune area and the existence of other auto and auto ancillary facilities in the region.

Microsoft plans to invest $150 million to set up a software development center in Pune according to the IT secretary of Maharashtra. This would be the first significant investment in the city by a major global IT company. TCS is also planning a software development center close to Hinjewadi IT Park at an investment of Rs 500 crore.

The conference will be attended by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra amongst other participants.
