Supreme Infra bags Rs 71.99cr contract from Thane Coporation | INRnews

Mumbai, India, January 10, 2008 - Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd (SIIL), an infrastructure development company engaged in civil construction activities, has bagged a building construction contract worth Rs 71.99 crores from Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). This is in Joint Venture with M/s. Chawla Interbild. This work of construction of RCC building in Thane City (Tulsidham) is part of BSUP scheme. The contract will be executed in a period of 18 months.

SIIL is mainly engaged in construction of roads, highways, widening of highways and execution of contracts National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), etc. Currently, the company has projects in and around Mumbai and Chitradurga in Karnataka. SIIL has received a contract for western transport corridor Tumkur-Haveri NH-4 Project Package-3 rehabilitation and upgradation of Chitradurga section (Km 189 to Km 207) jointly with MBL Infrastructures Limited.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Vikram Sharma, Managing Director, “We are scaling up our operations and in a better position to execute better contracts. This particular contract coupled up with our other in-house capabilities will help us bid for bigger, more complex projects in future. This particular will also enable the company to bid for better and bigger building construction projects.

Supreme Infrastructure India recently forayed into capital markets with its IPO that was successfully received by investors and was subscribed about 52 times.
