London, UK, October 08, 2007 - Eredene Capital PLC (AIM: ERE), the AIM quoted Indian Property Developer, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Aboyne Mauritius Limited (together the “Eredene Group”) has acquired a major stake in a Container Freight Station (CFS) to serve the Indian port of Pipavav. This is the Eredene Group’s second real estate investment in a CFS in India, where there is rising demand for container service facilities, and its third investment since shareholder approval of its broadened investment strategy.

"MILLION MINDS" IT and ITES SEZ will spread over 125 acres and will involve an investment of about Rs 700 crores.

Ahmedabad, September 01, 2006 : One more local developer is all set to join the IT park bandwagon. Calica Buildcon group plans to set up its facility near Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway under the brand name Third Eye. The group has approached the state government for acquiring SEZ status for the same.
National Highway No.8, connecting Vadodara and Surat is to become a 6-lane highway, in a project starting January 2007. The stretch famous as much for its potholes as for its dense traffic, will mark its rebirth with close circuit TV cameras, emergency communication systems, weather stations and rest areas. The new highway covering a distance of 148 kms will be complete in 30 months.
The Kotak Group has plans to create a Rs.2,000 realty venture fund, according to Uday Kotak, executive vice-chairman and managing director of Kotak Mahindra Bank. The group has already raised Rs.500 crore from the market and is raising another $300 - 350 million through the FIPB route.
Expansion plans running into hundreds of crores worth by four major companies - Essar, L&T, Kribhco and Shell - will hit Hazira over the next four years. Concerns over the availability of land to meet these expansion needs were voiced in official government meetings in May and it is not clear if it will be easy to meet the land acquisition needs of these companies.
Kotak Real Estate fund is looking to invest Rs. 400 crore out of a proposed corpus of Rs. 2,000 crore in real estate in Gujarat. The real estate investments would be in areas such as SEZs, townships, residential and commercial complexes and hotels. Kotak finds the Gujarat realty market attractive,as prices are relatively cheap as compared to other markets in the country.

Century Textiles and Industries is to set up a new textile mill in Jhagadia, Bharuch district of Gujarat as a greenfield venture. Investment of Rs. 600 crore for this project will help establish capacity of 30 million metres of fabric annually.
Gujarat Chief Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi is wooing investors to the state with its good power supply, extensive road network and port facilities. He also has assured investors of speedy clearances for investment proposals in the state. Speaking at a program organised by SICCI, Mr Modi indicated that five new special economic zones are planned in Gujarat, in addition to the twenty two existing SEZs. The new SEZs will be located near ports.
