Minister approves construction of bridge on NH-80 in Bihar | INRnews
New Delhi, India, April 12, 2007 - The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval for highway projects in Bihar.
The Union Government has approved a Rs.1,389 crore project for enlarging an existing bridge over the the river Ganga near Patna to a railway & road bridge. This is one of the largest bridge projects under the National Rail Vikas Yojna. The bridge is expected to be completed within a period of five years.
Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS) and the Bihar Government have signed a MoU to develop three special economic zones (SEZ) in the state including two product specific and one multi-product SEZ. The SEZs would be developed through public-private partnership with both partners sharing risks and rewards.
