Propmart and City Green Farms Launch Integrated Township Project in Bangalore | INRnews
The integrated township called CG Garden Villas will be a self-contained work and residential centre with built-to-suit IT parks, business and commercial complexes, educational institutions and hospitals besides a helipad, with exclusive independent designer villas.
“CG Garden villas will have all social infrastructure required to make it a true work-live-play concept. Today, you need to think of the walk-to-work concept. With the urban sprawl getting more difficult to manage, the future is in integrated townships such as this one that is self-contained and will serve to decongest Bangalore city”, said R Balaji, CEO, Propmart, during the inauguration of the project at the Leela Palace here today.
“The workspaces here will be futuristic in design and conveniences. The idea is to create plug-and-play facilities where companies can simply move into and begin operations”, explains Balaji. The residential options will be integrated with workspaces to avoid long commuting times. “The price range begins from Rs 45 lakhs which will include the cost of the plot as well as the villa. The first of the projects will be ready within two years”, he adds.
A total number of 3000 independent villas will be built in the project. The sizes of plots start from 1400 sft., with each plot having a duplex villa. The company intends to maintain the landscaping outside each villa.
The township also has a wide range of entertainment and recreational spots. A zoo, a resort, butterfly parks and water bodies will make for interesting weekend destinations. This is the first such concept to take shape in the country.
Golf course on the anvil
Citi Green Farms is also developing an 18-hole golf course in Chikkaballapura. This course has been approved by the State government with a view on the need for social infrastructure in the vicinity of commercial development expected in the region. Billed as among the best in Asia, this course is being designed by the well-known US architect Ronald Fream.
B Radha Ramana, Chairman and Managing Director, City Green Farms, says, “This facility will bring many international golfers here and put Chikkaballapura on the global golf map. It will also be a good facility for golf enthusiasts in the region. Also, it will complement the development we will see here, thanks to the international airport”.
