New Delhi, December 21, 2006 - The Government today has approved the construction of a New International Terminal Building along with city and air side development at a Ahmedabad Airport at an estimated cost of Rs. 290.92 crore (Phase I: Rs. 195.92 crore and Phase II Rs. 95.00 crore). The total project cost of Rs. 290.92 crore includes Foreign Exchange in INR Rs. 27.35 crore in Phase I at 2005-06 prices, which would work out to Rs. 313.22 crore after considering inflation.

IIT-Bombay to set up satellite campus in Gujarat

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-Bombay) plans to set up a satellite campus in Gujarat and has asked for 300 acres of land for this purpose. The State Government is identifying suitable locations in Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar. In addition to land being provided by the State Government, the Central Government is expected to fund construction costs.
