Land prices soar in Erode district of Tamil Nadu | INRnews

Erode, November 26, 2006 : Land prices in Erode district have gone up five to six fold within a few months. Land earlier selling at Rs. 3 lakh an acre today goes for Rs. 15 lakh an acre. The main driver appears to be a new turmeric complex that is to be located in the area.

Availability of land on Perundurai road is extremely limited and land in nearby areas now sells for close to Rs. 450 per sq ft. Guideline value in Erode has been revised upwards.
