CCEA approves Rs.392 crore funding for rail-cum-road bridge in Bihar | INRnews

New Delhi, November 09, 2006 - The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today gave its approval for providing project specific funds to the tune of Rs.392 crore towards the road share of Munger Rail Cum Road Bridge project in the 11th Plan provisions of Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport & Highways and funds are to be released directly by Planning Commission to the Ministry of Railways as per the yearly requirement.

Since the major portion of the work on the bridge is to be executed by the Ministry of Railways, the CCEA has also given its approval for nominating the Ministry of Railways as the Nodal Ministry for implementation of project.

The project is likely to be completed in 2009-2010.
