Kanbay opens new software facility in Gacchibowli, Hyderabad | INRnews

October 19, 2006 : IT services firm Kanbay International has opened a new software development facility on 15 acres of land in the IT Park at Gacchibowli in Hyderabad.

The facility will provide 70,000 square feet of office space to meet it's growth plans. To be completed next year with an investment of $50 million, the Gacchibowli campus will provide 70,000 square feet of office space to accommodate 4,500 professionals.

Kanbay already has a facility at Hitec City in Hyderabad. The company plans to increase its workforce in Hyderabad from 1,400 people now to over 5,500 in a year's time. 

Andhra Pradesh is experiencing an IT boom with exports growing at 51% annually. The government plans to set up 15 special economic zones (SEZ) focused on the IT sector to drive the export momentum.
