New access-control stretch for Tumkur Road in Bangalore
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning an access-controlled section on Tumkur road in Bangalore to reduce traffic congestions and minimise accidents.
A 4.5 km stretch will be elevated immediately after the ring road and will then be followed by a 15.5 km stretch of six-lane road with walls and railings on both sides. The Rs.440 crore project will most certainly make life easy for the 1.3 lakh vehicles that ply the stretch every day.
