Kerala - Luxury apartment project to rise near Kochi

Pune-based SRK Group will launch a Rs.200 crore luxury and eco-friendly high-rise project at Kakkanad near Kochi. The developer hopes to tap into the growing demand for housing coming from IT-based businesses in Kerala. Since Kochi is increasingly seen as the capital of the IT industry in Kerala, the decision doesn't come as a surprise.

Titled, "Sky Wings", the complex will include a commercial centre, a service apartment block and three residential blocks with over 400 apartments. Luxury facilities such as a supermarket, club-house, health club, tennis courts and restaurants are all par for the course.

The apartments are two-bedroom, three-bedroom and studio flats. Prices are from Rs.35 lakh upwards. Penthouses will also be available. The complex is slated to be ready for occupation in three years' time.

The Group has long-term plans for the state and has already begun construction of apartments in Guruvayur, with projects at Thrissur and Palakkad also on the anvil.
