Ahmedabad to have India’s tallest hotel

Ahmedabad, September 29, 2006: Shree Raj Tours & Travels is looking to set-up a 42-storey hotel in Ahmedabad and aims for this to be India's tallest hotel. The investment required for this project is Rs.350 crore.

The company is looking at land on the Sarkhej to Gandhinagar highway. The 500-room hotel will start from the 21st floor onwards while the first 20 floors would comprise of retail space, convention centre and recreational facilities.

The promoters have reportedly initiated discussions with international players like Accor, Sheraton and Four Seasons for the development and management of the project.
