Record prices at Delhi Development Authority auction

299 square metre plot in Dwarka sold for Rs 5.26 crore.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has raised over Rs. 188 crore from an auction of 61 plots earlier this week. Prices bid at the auction were substantially higher than the reserve price indicating a firming up of property prices.

Highlights include a 299 square metre plot in Dwakra sold for Rs. 5.26 crore, a 275 square metre plot in Green Park sold for Rs. 4.98 crore, a 270 square metre plot sold in Jasola for Rs. 4.8 crore and a 324 square metre plot in Vikaspuri sold for Rs.5.6 crore.

Meanwhile there has been very strong demand for apartments being offered by DDA under their recently announced housing scheme. DDA has sold out over 50,000 application forms priced at Rs. 150 within the first two days itself and is going in for a reprint. INRnews.com had featured this scheme in an earlier story Delhi Development Authority announces DDA Housing Scheme 2006 - apply now. Clearly a lot of people have indeed made that move.
