Proposal for king-size bus terminal in Vytilla requires Kerala cabinet decision
Acquiring 3.2 hectares of land at Vytilla, currently under the control of Kerafed, for a bus terminus cum commercial multiplex seems to pose a challenge for the concerned district panchayat.
The project requires 6 hectares of land for a world-class bus terminal with 60 bus bays serving up to 2.5 lakh passengers. While the panchayat already has 2.8 hectares of land, another 3.2 hectares have to be acquired from Kerafed. And that, appears to require government intervention. The estimated project cost is around Rs.30 crores.
