Landmark to occupy more retail space, make bigger investments

The Landmark Group that runs stores such as Lifestyle, Max and Home Centre in India plans to invest Rs.450 crore in the country to expand its retail operations.

The group plans to increase the number of Lifestyle stores from the present 11 to 35, Home Centre stores from 2 to 10 and Max, their value retail chain from 2 to 8. They plan to add more outlets in Mumbai while opening new stores in Pune, Noida and Jaipur.

The Landmark group also plans to aggressively expand Bossini branded apparel stores from four now to over one hundred in the next five years. Bossini is a brand that is very strong in particular in the Far East.
