Delhi Development Authority DDA to auction prime hotel plots in capital

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has put out a Public Notice for auction of prime plots on freehold basis for constructions of hotels in Delhi. The auction, slated for September 25th, will see 10 plots between 7,000 to 30,000 sq.m. put on the block for reserve prices ranging from Rs. 48 crore to Rs. 723 crore.

The largest plot, 29,889 sq.m. in area and at a reseve price of Rs. 723 crore is in Sector 14, North Dwarka City Centre. Other plots available are in Shalimar Bagh, Sector 10 & 13 Dwarka Centre, Sector 14, South Dwarka Centre, Paschim Vihar, Rohini and Shahdra.

The highest bidder has to deposit 25% of the bid offered at the time of the auction, and the balance 75% within 90 days.

The auction is expected to generate a lot of interest, particularly with an increased number of hotels being planned in the city in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games.
