30-acre biotech park in Baruipur, West Bengal
The park aims to promote R&D in all allied biotech fields, create job opportunities for science and biotechnology students and attract foreign scientists. The project plans to provide facilities to around 500 to 750 scientists working in biotechnology, including bio-information, chemo-informatics, bio-imaging, nano science, proteomics, pharmaceutical science, molecular modelling and allied areas.
The joint venture is to encourage the participation of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies from other parts of India and abroad.
