New housing project in Mysore
Mumbai-based Shalom Voyagers has proposed a 1,450 apartment project at a cost of Rs. 235 crore in Mysore. The project is planned in the 28 acre Ideal Jawa site that the company had bought in an auction for Rs. 28 crores.
Some NGOs are opposed to the project. A public hearing is underway to discuss the project, particularly the environmental impact.
Meanwhile, an organisation in Mysore , the Association of Concerned and Informed Citizens of Mysore (ACICM), has urged the government to review the hike in property guidance value and to stay the collection of registration fee based on the higher guideline value.
