DLF plans hi-tech IT park in Bangalore
To be located on Whitefield Main Road, near ITPL, DLF Technolopolis is being developed on 1.5 million sqft area and would be completed by third quarter of 2007.
DLF is looking at the possibility of leasing the space to two-three big clients instead of a large number of smaller IT companies. To be equipped with modern amenities like ATM, food court, gymnasium and retail zones, the park will have central air conditioning and earthquake and fire safety features.
DLF, which was so far involved mostly in activities in north India, will invest about Rs 300 crore in making IT cities in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Chandigarh and Kolkata. The Bangalore-park fits in DLF’s overall scheme of expanding to have DLF constructions on 100 million sq. ft over the next ten years. While DLF IT Park in Chennai would be having four million sq ft working space, the cyber city in Hyderabad would be having 2. 75 million sq ft. In addition there would be an IT park in Pune which would be having 1.6 sq ft of working space. (Deccan Herald)
